Buying a 16mm. Bolex Reflex or Arriflex S/B

I'm toying with the idea of buying an Arriflex 16S or S/B, or a Bolex Reflex. Any opinions on what might be better? I thought I read somewhere that getting spare parts for the 16 S/B might be hard to get cause NYU bought them all.

I prefer the viewfinder image in the Arri-S compared to the reflex Bolex. Plus I think it is a sturdier camera, and you can use lenses other then C-mounts, depending on the mount in the Arri. Not sure if the Bolexes used bayonet mounts.

I have seen Bolex cameras with bayonet mounts. I would avoid the Bolex unless it fits specific needs. It's a beautiful camera, but can really limit what you want to do. Not the least of which is its inability to shoot sync-sound without significant camera noise (there are barneys for it, but the camera is simply too loud).

I'd go with the ARRI S, the camera was designed as a professional camera and you can always get it serviced by one of the best technitians: Tim Carrol
