Building Afterschool Program for Kids Interested in Film

I'm an elementary teacher in Anaheim, Ca and I recently started an afterschool program for students interested in videography and photography. These elementary/middle school students have created newscasts, webshows, and documentaries for their schools and they love every minute of the afterschool program. I've never went to film school, so my knowledge is very limited, but here is a link to our YouTube channel featuring the kids' work, and I would love any advice so that I can pass on the knowledge to the kids so that they can get better. Our equipment is pretty limited but we make do with what we have. We edit using Sony Vegas and we have one handheld HD videocamera.
