animation codec in FC

Ferquently I need to convert Flash to dv. I use the animation codec so the flat colors don't artifact and I get the best possible quality. However, Final Cut seems to take much longer to render these than video captured from the camera. Any suggestions as to the best codec to use?

if you're looking for best quality, render with "None". Takes more space but then you'll avoid your rendering issue when importing.

none and animation are pretty much the same. however, it really seems to slow FC down and not because of file size (mine are only 30 sec most of the time) it seems to have something to do with FC and .mov files.

With After Effects I render as Quicktime .mov with animation or none codec.
