I render my movie files in after effects as quicktime movies best quality.

When I import them to finalcut and drop them into the timeline their quality decreases. I continue to edit, because i'm thinking its probably just like this so final cut runs smoother. When i render it into an animation movie the quality is the same as in final cut?

Why does this happen? When the video files are in the bin the quality is fine. I double click the movie file to bring it up in its own window to do a side comparisson.

Make sure your sequence settings are appropriate for the animation. If the sequence settings don't match the animation settings (including frame rate, codec, etc), your animation will look like crap.

If you're trying to mix it into a timeline that's set for standard video (i.e., 29.97fps DV25), it won't likely match. Make a separate sequence for the animation.

well how do i find out my codec and frame rate? i know my framerate is 29.97 but i dont know my codec for my aftereffects video.
