Adobe Premiere Pro and iTunes

Hey everyone, i have a little problem. I recently loaded alot of my friends music from his ipod onto my itunes, however, the files of the songs are .m4a format. Can adobe play these file types, and if not, is their a converter out there than can convert all my m4a files, to mp3? thanks

Yeah there is a way to do this on iTunes. If you select songs there is am option over on the left side that says convert selection to mp3

yes but it wont do it with a m4p(at least with older vertions of i tunes) but if you make a play list with the songs you like and burn it to a cd(in itunes) it will convert the songs to mp3s then all you need to do is load them into adobe.
