NICE is a judged film festival created to support student and independent short film on Long Island.
Entries are open to international short film at the amateur and student level. NICE was created to support budding and amateur filmmakers in getting big screen exposure for their hard work and creativity. Please see our Northport Independent Cinema Exhibition Official Websitefor all entry rules and requirements. You can download all docmuentation directly from our site. The festival will be screened in August 2014 and Best in Show gets their film screened for one week as a double feature with a major motion picture at Elwood Cinemas, in East Northport, New York.
Entry Fee: $35US per film
Categories: Short (3-10 minutes), Long (10-20 minutes). All genres accepted except music videos or films created for payment. All films should be created by students or independent filmmakers and enthusiasts.
NICE Festival Deadlines
January 15, 2014-Call for Entries opens
May 20, 2014-Entry and film submission deadline.
June 4, 2014-Email notification sent to all entries to be included in final judging and screening.
August 15, 2014-Participants will be notified via email of their screening date.
August 18-22, 2014- Northport Independent Cinema Exhibition screening presentations 10:00am-1:00pm daily.
August 24, 2014-Northport Independent Cinema Exhibition awards screening and presentation. 10:00am.
September 1-7, 2014- Public screening daily of grand prize winning film at Elwood Cinemas.
