1ST TIME ....PERIOD!

hey Guys this is my first time getting into the film HObby. I have an apple PowerBook G4 and it comes with an amaeur movie maker i.e iMovie and iDVD. i am starting out slowly which means i don't have enough money to get a REAL cam corder for film. What camcorder should i buy to start out making Home Movies? From there i will begin to play with the editing features on my Mac. When i get a little bit better i shall get Probably a Final Cut Pro or another cam corder, but for now i need just a normal Home Camcorder. What do You Guys Suggest?

since its for home, the sony's feel good, and look good too..

but Canon cams, usualy have better colors.. just look for a camera that has a CCD which is RGB, and not CMY ... those are colors.. because if your camera is already Red Green Blue, when you put it on TV, it will look better, because your TV projects Red Green Blue. Compaired to Cyan Magenta and Yellow, when on your TV, it will have to convert those colors to Red Green Blue, thus making your colors not as Lively as if you already had a Red Green Blue.

Also I would sudgest to get a camera which is MiniDV, and not DVD-ram... Mini DV has been out longer, and personaly, I feel is better, and cheaper then DVD-Rams....
