Hello filmmakers! I'm posting because I've started a script consulting service. My rates are: treatment coverage
(£45), short script/pilot coverage (£50), feature script coverage (£80). If you think you may be interested, feel free to get in touch and check out my website.
Hi @Essa. I believe I would be interested in this kind of partnership. I've written a rough draft for the script. If you want, I can email it to you and you can then read it at your convenience.
Fellow filmmakers, do you have a passion for drama/thriller movies? Are you looking to write and pitch a short film in those genres, ideally with the help of a partner? If so, I may have something of interest for you. I’m working on a short fiction script. It tells the story of the granddaughter...
Good day everyone,
I’m seeking a writing partner for a feature-film project I’m developing. The film would be of the fantasy/action variant. I’m attaching a pitch and a summary of what I plan to do immediately after finishing the script. If you think the project may be for you, please let me know.
Hi Izidra. I'm happy to work with any studio. The real issue, as I'm finding out, is cost (good-quality animation will set you back roughly £1,000 per minute). That, and you need strong connections in the world of animation, which I don't have yet.
Hi Ivan. Thanks for your advice. I've actually rewritten the whole script since posting my question. Turns out, as you suggested, that the first act was fundamentally unsound. I wanted a detective story, but my premise just didn't fit the source material. I think the final version is a much...
I've watched a lot of Don Bluth movies, and Bluth had a similar idea to yours. He would put his characters through hell throughout the film, so that when they ultimately found happiness, it really felt earned.
Hi everyone. I'm writing a short sequel to a Disney movie. It's a detective story. When it's finished, I want to pitch it to Disney. I'm two thirds of the way through, but I've reached an impasse. If one of you could offer me some suggestions, it'd be really appreciated (and, I'd be happy to...
Hi WriterUnscribed. I was wondering, did you manage to find a writing partner in the end? I like the idea of focusing on skating. It really evokes youth.
Hi everyone. I've just written a short story script, aimed at children, which I’d like to pitch to an animation studio. Could anyone recommend a London-based studio? I’ve found a lot of studios on Animationuk.org, but I’d like to narrow my options a little.
Hi everyone. I'm writing an essay about the sound-image relationship in the 1981 film Excalibur. I'm trying to figure out what instrument is used at 1:33-2:08. It sounds like a digital piano, but I'm not sure if digital pianos were commercially available in 1981. Any suggestions?
Hi Emily. What I have in mind is similar to this video, except that I want the background to look like this: https://www.pxfuel.com/en/free-photo-opdut.
Hi Maura. Thanks for your response. I've now obtained a physical green screen. Its size is 85x200cm. Tell me, where do I find the chroma key? I'm using Final Cut.
Edit: never mind my question. I think I've found how to use the key.
Hello there Olivia. Apologies for the delayed reply. I'll be using the green screen to film the inside of a monastery (I'm creating a video on overweight monks in the Middle Ages). If you're still interested in helping me, do let me know.
Hi everyone. I'm making a Youtube video, and I want it to feature a digital green screen. Can anyone point me in the direction of webpages that explain how to create a green screen?
Hi Emily! Thanks for the praise. I'm very happy you liked the video. It took me quite a lot of time and effort to make. I found it especially fun to find and wear the costume.
I'm currently working on another video, about overweight monks in the Middle Ages. If you're interested in watching it...
