    Question about imagers and CCD

well your contradicting your self... because if it gives you better low light conditions then isnt that an enhancement of the image, thus a better resolution... and or I'm using resolution in a different manner then you? lol... But nowhere do I see the HAD doing something with the LUX...

    A Sound Guy Sounds Off

Usualy, in editing all problems are delt with for sound. This is my personal experiance and those of my Professors which all have made industry films for many years. What I am told is that, for example. If you have "bob" drinking coffee while he is talking to "person X" and he's sturing his...

    A Sound Guy Sounds Off

I shoot 16mm film... its silent, and it stands on its own. So... even though you might think sound is all that, without a "pretty picture" all you'll have is a radio :P And further more, an image can be broken down and studied aestheticly. Frame composition, color, light, no light, type of...

    Question about imagers and CCD

Well lets break it down. The HAD stands for Hole Accumulation Diode. I'm guessing now, because this is the first I hear of this Diode thing, that it refines pixel interpolation once they are being converted to Zeros and Ones... on the tape for better image quality. So what does it mean...

Does anyone have the Sony HDR-HC1 HDV handycam?

its a HD camera... so yes... Also I'll address the mic subject after talking about the image... still some things that are not clear.... High Def image is 1920X1080 pixels... compaired to regular Digital Video which is 720X480 Pixels. Whats great about this is that you are getting 3X the...

    3:2 Pulldown , Drop & Non-Drop Frame

its just for the frames on screen.. if you have 3:2 pull down it will make it look as if its running at 24 frames per second... because its running 2 frames of the same then 3 frames of the same. The time code will be the same because its still the same number of frames. 29.97 is basicly a...

Does anyone have the Sony HDR-HC1 HDV handycam?

Well.. to be honest, the sound will be decent, but nothing above ordinary. You'd have to get a shotgun mic attachment for better sound. The mic that is on there will probably have built-in filters so you can either go for Voice, or cut down wind, or leave it normal. Besides that, the mic you...

How do I make DV look like film in Final Cut Pro

well... altering the frame rate would make it feel more cinematic, but still would not look as good. The pixels are a long way of resembling grain on film. Also Film when projected has a pulsating effect due to the shutter opening and closing every frame... So usualy it starts at the camera...
