    Editing Software

Another belated response...and an alternate opinion. For my money, Avid just doesn't have much of a grip on delivering value on the low end of the product line. They have had several mediocre attempts at it, but they have to strip so much out of it to preserve the value of their higher end...

    importing flash

Fipp, Please describe your situation in more detail. What software authored the flash file? Can you load it and play it in your browser? Is the file from the internet and if it is, are you sure you have the entire file on your computer and not simply a link to it? More information will help.

    Mac and PC

Only PC I'm afraid. Premiere Pro, Encore DVD, and Audition are all PC only. After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and all the print/web software are cross platform...

    Slow motion issue

It's definitely easy to get used to a workflow, and I guess that PPro is mine. I just finished a project with a Producer in the room (something rare for me) and he was blown away by how fast PPro was compared to the Avid rooms he's worked in for most of his career... I'm puzzled by the...

    Hellloooooooo....

Thanks Mark, though after 20 years at this, learning is something that still takes 20-30% of my professional time. I think it's one of the things I like best about this line of work.

    Slow motion issue

Interesting. Pinnacle products aren't bad, but I think Premiere Pro is a change for the better in the Adobe lineup. Certainly far more stable running than the base level Avid products in my experience (I'm a producer/director and I work a bit with Adobe development...yes, biased but not...

    Hellloooooooo....

Wanted: Premiere Pro questions. My name is Tim Kolb and I use Premiere Pro most every day as well as play a small part in its development, wrote a book, I'm the NAB technical chair for PPro and I have a DVD set out as well. (...and one of these days I plan on adding "a life" to the list...)...

    Question...

Actually a completely clear glass would be fairly straight forward to key with a screen based effect (luma screen or blue- or green-) as glass highlights become opaque for visual purposes, while the transparent portions...are transparent. The biggest "pain" in whatever body part or appendage...

    Tutorials

Total Training has typically had a very, very good tutorial series on AE...but it's exhaustive. Hours and hours of training. It's very accurate and also TT typically really chapters the DVDs out so you can revisit a relatively specific portion if needed. http://www.totaltraining.com/ Trish...
