Been looking at the forum for quite a while, and been taking some really good advice. I am what they call a 'young professional' and am looking for a camera and am stuck. I have narrowed down my choice to the sony HC1 E, just because of the minidv/HD transition. I am a bit concerned about the use of the cmos chip instead of the ccd, as I have heard it is not as good with low light conditions. Nevertheles it seems to be a good alrounder. The one thing that I really cant believe sony have taken out is the interval record feature, which allows for those beautiful timelapses.
Anyway I have two questions, is there a way around this int rec, so that I can still do the time lapse, without me having to be next to the camera pressing the record button?
Second and more importantly it seems like this camera is the pioneer in this new field of cmos hd combo with minidv, I was wondering how to tell which camera or when will sony bring out the replacement as the HC1 E has already been on the market for almost a year if not over. Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
