Has anyone ever white balanced with a "warmcard" ?

it seems like you could just print out some different shades of blue and use them..............

I'm more curious about the "warmth" they add..........never occured to me to white balance to a different color.

opinions?

Trick WB is quite common, as it is a necessity in some situations to do this so that you can achieve a more accurate, fuller/vivid, or simply more artistically appealing aesthetic that can’t quite be achieved in post.
I've used similar shades of blue to achieve the same effect of warm cards, as well other colors.

Just get a "swatch book" of gel for free. Take a shade of blue (or any other color you may like) and hold it in front of the lens when you white balance against a white card.

Will do the same exact thing, only for less money and more choices.
