Video compatability with Powerpoint

Hello everyone,

I have recently taken on a project that will be shot on dv and these shorts need to be viewed in a powerpoint for a pc. I have tried putting shorts in directly using the feature but regardless of the file type, I cannot create high quality video output. Is there a way to sync windows media player with powerpoint? I am not sure what my options are but any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.
