I'm also considering UT's RTF/Burnt Orange program, I have a friend who's currently enrolled there, and I've visited the campus, was given a tour, dug the atmosphere. The biggest incentive is the Burnt Orange Program, allowing students to work directly with professionals on films. Speaking of film, they've pretty much given up on the traditional medium in favor of digital, as have many other schools. So, if you're really wanting to immerse yourself in the traditional methods of "filmmaking", 16, 35mm, etc. then you might want to reconsider your destination.
