Sweetening? What is it and how do I do it?

Hello!

I've searched around and I cannot find anything that thoroughly explains what audio sweetening is much less how I might accomplish it. Can anyone explain in a bit more detail?

An incredibly deep and complex subject. It is usually called "Audio Post Production" or "Sound For Picture".

Basic topics are:

Dialog Editing
ADR
Foley
Sound Effects
Ambience
Music (scoring and editing)
Post Production Mixing
