Hello! I heard that tim burton used a digital SLR to shoot Corpse Bride -- anyone know how he took all those stills and made them into a 24fps motion picture? Did he use an animation program like Toon Boom, or is this something you can do in avid/fcp?
thanks!

Can be done in any NLE. As an FCP trainer, to do it in FCP, you'd first set the default length of stills and graphics in the User Preferences. Then import all the stills. You'll have to do some math to figure that out. Or just make every still you shoot a single frame, but that's not always necessary. If you characters are going to pause, you only need one still to last that long. You can adjust how long each still lasts in the Timeline before and after you place each still into it. Not difficult. I do timelapse's with a DSLR, not with HD video, as RAW images from a good DSLR are higher definition than HD video. Not difficult to do at all.
