No. An SD camera can not recognize HDV mini-DV tape data, it won't play that format, you can't capture with it. To go a step further, a Sony camera records HDV, that tape won't play back on anything but a Sony HDV camera. Every specific camera maker has their own proprietary flavor of HDV. Capture HDV on a Canon, it won't play back on any other brand of HDV camera.
