production insurance

does anyone know about how much production insurance would cost on a short film? also, where would i get it? does anyone have experience or recommendations? thanks.

The easiest thing to do is ask the rental house where you are renting your equipment. They deal with production insurance all the time and they know who they like, who pays with no hassle, who doesn't. I'm assuming you don't want the complete package like completion insurance, actor's getting killed, rain days, etc. for a short film, but just something to cover lost or damaged equipment.
