Hi

I want to use a domestic light fitting as my main interior light source, alas a mere 100w globe just won't do it. Do "supper bulbs" exist for this purpose, eg a 500w bayonet mount globe.

Are you looking for a bayonet mount or a screw mount? Most domestic light fixtures (at least in the U.S.) are screw mounts. They do make higher wattage bulbs, but you'll have to go to a specialty lighting store or a theatrical/TV/Film supply store for them. Also, you'll have to be careful how much wattage you put into one circuit.

My real question, though, is why you'd want to light an entire scene with just one practical?
