The Big Ugly Review (www.biguglyreview.com) is an online magazine that showcases emerging and established filmmakers, writers, musicians and photographers. Each issue contains short films, downloadable music, short stories, flash fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and photo-essays.
Our upcoming issue is The Contest Issue. Each section is a contest with a different judge and a cash prize. Winners are included in Issue 5 this summer. This issue, for the first time, we are including a category of short films of five minutes or less. The judge for the film section is producer Xandra Castleton, whose feature film "Full Grown Men" premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
