We started the forums back in 2004 and in the next couple of years it became one of the most popular forums and certainly was the main attraction of our website. At some point spammers attacking the forum was overwhelming and our frustrated attempts to deal with the spammers and our strict posting policies slowed it to a large extent. In our attempts to make it hard for spammers to sign up and post we were actually making the forums hard and less attractive to honest filmmakers. The last couple of years with spam filtering software and security modifications you can sign up and post without waiting for verification and we have relaxed our policy to some extent so that the forum environment is more like it was 12 years ago. With this recent update we hope you will enjoy the forums and let us know if there is anything we can do to improve your experience.
