Anyone doing any mobile filmmaking? I was just on a shoot in Cannes a few weeks ago that utilized over 100 people shooting on these Nokia n95 devices. That was my first exposure to mobile filmmaking. I've heard about it, or that it was supposed to be taking over, but I'd never participated before.
I liked the workflow of going from the N95 directly into FCP with no tape to deal with, and how quickly we were able to get content up onto YouTube.
Our production had about 30 "PA shooters" -- film students we hired to help us out. We were able to train them to use the N95 in about an hour and we got great coverage from their shots.
Anyway, curious to know if anyone else has experience with mobile filmmaking, or heard of the Mobile Filmmaking Awards.
