makeup help

i have a movie coming up and was wondering how to do minor makeup effects. the effect needed is a moderately sized fleshy bump on a person's forehead. i am planning on using simple halloween makeup, but i don't know if that will work. any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

The Halloween makeup should work , but could you go into a little more detail on the effect your trying to make?

the effect is just a protusion on the character's forehead, probably about the size of a quarter at the base. it would be awesome if i could a small amount of blood to ooze from the "bump", but i don't know how that would work.
