Brian O’Malley is a director known for the gothic horror movie Let Us Prey, starring Liam Cunningham, which won the Méliès d’Argent for Best European Fantastic Feature Film at its world premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in 2014. His second feature film The Lodgers, a gothic ghost story set in rural Ireland in 1920, completed post-production in April 2017. His current production is That Dirty Black Bag, an English language Spaghetti Western TV series shooting in Italy and Spain which takes inspiration from the classic Sergio Leone westerns, but with a contemporary twist.
Our host for Meet The Artist is Hamish Jenkinson - Creative Director & Co-Founder, The Department. Hamish is the founder of The Old Vic Tunnels and was named a member of Time Out’s 100 club of creative Innovators. He is a curator and ardent investor in the Arts, where he is a specialist in directing large-scale performances. Hamish is also a Visiting Professor at Falmouth University and is highly involved in charity work, as both a Chairman of Free the Children UK and Ambassador of Prince’s Trust.
