Not sure about the XL1, but in my experience DV footage tends to look best around f/4 or f/5.6. So if you can get a bit more light then that would probably be helpful.
That location is pretty damn big. What sort of budget do you have to light this place? Maybe you could light parts of it just to add some depth throughout different areas...how much of the wharehouse will you see in the process of shooting?
