I live in Sweden and I'm going to apply to an american college to study film production. But because attending Universities in the states is expensive, I thought that maybe if I studied two years in a community college and then apply to a university with good film programs might be better.

I know someone who attends the Santa Barbara City College, and he recommends the school. I've heard that it has a good film program, with good teachers.

What are your ideas about studying film in a community college?

Do you have any comments about Santa Barbara City College?

What are my chances of transferring to for example USC or UCLA?

Thanks in advance!

Hi your probably thinking that someone has finally decided to answer your questions, but sadly not. I cant seem to get an answer to any of my questions from people here. I just deleted my posts because I was sick of waiting.

I have a question for you though, Did you consider studying in the UK?
Scotland?
I'm not from there, I'm from Ireland but I do know that the UK has a lot of really good film courses there too. If you go to college in Scotland, the education system is still technically free, If you are a european citizen you could get a grant to help with the costs from the european union.
Think about it, I really dont think that going to USA and owing lots of money afterwards is your only option. :?
