ideas for testing

Hi,
I'm a student from Brazil and we're preparing to shoot our last short film( a musical by the way) for the university. We are working low budget (more like no budget), so I will not have the chance to test my negative. We will shoot S16 using Kodak 500T 7229. I'm looking for ideas on how I could do some lighting tests, maybe using still photography...well...that's it.

I don't know about Brazil, but here in the UK it's possible to get labs to load 35mm still film canisters with the same stock you'd use for shooting the movie. If you can do that then you'd be able to do a test for a fairly low cost.
