This video was made by the help of ropes. Can anyone explain me how they cut the parts out of the video that make it obvious? I always thought it was done entirely with chromakeying and I need to do this effect for a commerical.

Not keying, rotoscoping. Rotoscoping is actually painting out the ropes, or guide wires. Something like Shake does this easily.
