Help finding a camera.

Hello, i was wondering if someone out there could help me.
I'm looking for a video camera that can give me a clean look, bright almost.
i understand to make the video look a certain way you can always use after effects. but i'm looking for a handy camera with great quality and all around good in general, for a minimum price of around 1000? i plan on using it to make short films, if you have any ideas would you be kind enough to share them? thanks.

Get a Canon 7D or Canon Ti

The HD DSLR or other name is HDSLR are your best bet. And, i think cannon is the one to get at this time. It is truly amazing what kind of image you can get with these cameras. They are low cost and compact. And, now all the manufactures are coming out with new accessories for them almost everyday.You can get the TI for about 750 and I bet you can find a used 7D for 1000 or just a bit over that.
