EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO MAKE A FILM

Hi everyone...I am a begginer film producer....basically a carreer change. I would like to know what is the equipment needed to make a film assuming you have a $150K budget for purchase...

FYI, camera purchase is normally not part of a production budget while camera rental is. Professional film cameras are very expensive so unless you are a studio with a slate of films to produce, rental is much more economic. As a matter of fact, if you are going to shoot Panavision, you have no choice, as they do not sell their cameras, they only rent. So, an answer to your question is to rent your camera gear and put the rest of the $150K in to other parts of your budget. JimT
