Crawl Out of Tv tutorial

I'm working on an animation and i wanted to have my character come out of the computer screen in the same way as the girl came out of the tv in The Ring 2. I was wondering if any one new a technique for this or if there is a good tutorial anywhere

Haven't seen The Ring 2...being in business scares the crap out of me everyday...when I go to the movies I prefer to laugh.

Can you describe the angle and what the transition between the "in TV" and "out of TV" stages was like?

its eye level ( of TV ) straight in front of it.
its the same effect they used on x-men 3 when katty walk intrough the walls

its like the water wall when u come out of it.

i just wanted to explain it for u tim
but i really dunno wut is the effect and how to do it!

Well, I'm sure there are 100 ways to approach it.

Somehow the TV surface has to be distorted and the character will have to come through a matte or a wipe after being shot green screen.

I would experiment a bit and you may learn a number of different approaches...
