Hi,
I'm delighted to support the Thailand Short Film Competition. It's a short film competition for international film or media students. But it really is rather special. It's organised by the Thailand Film Office (who have supported international hits like 'The Hangover 2', 'Gold', and 'Mechanic Resurrection'.) They want to encourage the next generation of film-makers who will hopefully bring their future projects to film in Thailand.

To enter, you and a partner need to come up with a short film that you would like to shoot in Thailand that features a particular region (from an extensive list). Make a short video saying why your team should be selected.

If you are selected, you get return tickets to Thailand, four nights in a Bangkok hotel, a local assistant, and a budget of around $1000 for your expenses and budget.

You only have around 100 hours to shoot and edit your film, so it really is quite a challenge.

This is the fifth year that the competition has been held. (In previous years it was called the Amazing Thailand Film Challenge). Over two hundred teams have taken part, and it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The deadline for entries is coming up fast.

You can visit the application portal at:
http://films.in.th
and check out the Facebook page:

I have shot three feature films in Thailand, and it is truly a beautiful and creatively inspiring place to make films.

I hope you will apply, and hope to see you in Thailand!
