Circle of major confusion?

I found this site on the net http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html according to this calculator if you choose under cinematography 35mm film format it says that the circle of cunfusion is 0.025mm now when I check on the American Cinematographer Manual (on the depth of field section) it reads that circle of confusion for 35mm film format is 0.0010 inches. which one should i use and why the difference.

depending on the answer from the question above what would be the one for 16mm film format

0.025mm and 0.0010 inches is the same thing. One is metric and the other is in inches.
