Can Final Cut Pro 7 Run 2k?

Hi, was wondering if anybody had any knowledge of this. Im planing to shoot a film using 16mm film, and the lab I am using can scan it in either HD or 2k. Just wondered if anybody knows if FCP7 can run smoothly with such huge files.
