The Asian TV Forum & Market is accepting projects for their pitching sessions and project market; The ATF Chinese Pitch (until September 28th), ATF Animation Pitch (until September 30th), ATF Formats Pitch (until September 30th); and the SAFF Project Market (until September 15th). About the Asian TV Forum & Market (ATF):
ATF is a global content market located in the heart of the dynamic Asia Pacific, bridges the world with a region exploding with opportunities for co-production, financing and content acquisition. In 2019, an estimated US$337 million worth of deals were discussed at the ATF.

The ATF Chinese Pitch:
ATF Chinese Pitch 2020 is the premier Asian pitching competition for creators and producers of innovative concepts for new and original scripts for the development of a theatrical/online movie (Pitch 1), and an online drama series (Pitch 2).

– Open to all creators and producers across the globe to present their new and original scripts for the production of a theatrical/online movie and/or an online drama series. Entries should not have been commissioned or broadcast on any other platforms yet and for which the worldwide rights are still available.
– The working language will be Chinese (Simplified). English entries will be translated into Chinese, as all finished production is targeted at Chinese-speaking territories globally.
– Applicants shall submit all required pitch materials to present their new script concepts.
– Pitch Entries must not contain third party copyrighted materials, images or music without the applicant first obtaining all necessary licenses, clearances, releases and/or permissions.
– Correct entry information is the responsibility of the applicant.
– The winner will get S$ 3,500 ($ 2,500 USD) with the potential to get the script bought for S$ 15,000 ($11,000 USD).

– Deadline for treatment submission (Round 1): September 28th, 2020

– Announcement of Semi-Finals: October 6th, 2020
– Deadline for Semi-Finalists to submit Full Script: October 31st, 2020 (English script) – November 7th, 2020 (Chinese script)
– Announcement of Finalists: November 16th, 2020
– Pitch Rehearsal meeting for finalists: December 1st, 2020

ATF Animation Pitch is the premier pitching competition for individuals, students and small to medium sized companies with new & innovative concepts in animation, targeting kids. This is a platform that showcases Asian originality, and exposes ideas for export and development within and outside of the region.

– Open to all creators and producers across Asia Pacific (under the banner of a company or otherwise) to present their new and original animation concept/ work. Entries should not have been commissioned or released on linear television or non-linear television yet and for which the worldwide rights are still available.
– The working language is English.
– The ATF Animation Pitch 2020 is open to all creators and producers across Asia Pacific (under the banner of a company or otherwise) to present their new and original animation concept/ work.
– Adaptations of books, plays, games or any other source material written by another author are not eligible under any circumstances. A script that you have adapted from individual’s own book, play, or other source material is eligible if the applicants have retained all IP rights to the property.
– Pitch Entries must not contain third party copyrighted materials, images or music without the applicant first obtaining all necessary licenses, clearances, releases and/or permissions.

ATF Formats Pitch is the premier formats pitching competition for creators and producers of new and original, unscripted (non-fiction) entertainment formats. This is a platform to flaunt the best of Asia and expose ideas for development and export within the region, and the world.

– The ATF Formats Pitch 2020 is open to all creators and producers from Asia Pacific (under the banner of a company or otherwise) to present their new and original, non-scripted entertainment formats. Entries should not have been commissioned or broadcast on linear television or non-linear television yet and for which the worldwide formats rights are still available.
– The working language is English.
– Applicants should be of a minimum age of 16 and above. Applicants travelling to Singapore for the live pitch if selected as a finalist, may need to meet the 18-year age requirement without a parent/guardian.
– Correct entry information is the responsibility of the applicant.
– The winner will receive a S$ 3,500 ($ 2,500 USD) cash award to develop the idea.

SAFF Project Market, Southeast Asian Film Financing Forum (“SAFF”) is an annual summit that brings together the best feature film concepts from Asia and Europe, to meet with international co-producing partners, festival programmers, distributors, commissioners, and financiers. Up to 15 projects will be selected by a panel to be featured at the SAFF Project Market.

– The Forum accepts fiction, documentary, animation projects with a minimum length of 70 minutes.
– Applicant can be the project’s writer, director, or producer.
While this is open to international applicants, all projects submitted must contain a
Southeast Asian element in one or more of the following significant creative roles, producer, director and/or writer, shooting or post-production location of project, overall thematic thrust of the project.
– Screenplay not required, just a treatment (3-5 pages).
– Each producer may submit only up to 5 projects.

Important dates:
Project submission closes: September 30th, 2020

Announcement of the shortlisted project: October 12th, 2020
Prize give-away to the top 5 Projects: December 4th, 2020
