i'm wondering if there are any of you digital DP film students here that reside in the NJ/NY/PA area?? looking to network, trade tips, and war stories about shooting digital, miniDV in particular...

I'm a Director - Writer mostly, but I usually light my projects as well. I began a video production business with two partners, that's going okay. I'm looking for a cinematographer that's more experienced than me who would like to collaborate on this short that's going to be shot on 24P. I am videographer who shoots events and performances. I learned how to do this boring stuff just to make extra money. My passion is filmmaking. I have experience with commercials, shorts and music videos, and I light all my projects. I’ve written two feature screenplays and I’m working on my third. I would consider my self to be a competent cinematographer who can shoot various lighting schemes, but I know there are people way better than me. However, my strength is in editing. And since you say you’re director – writer like me, then maybe we’re about the same level. Anyways, I wouldn’t mine meeting for a chat.
