Do you have any experience/thoughts/opinions about AFI? Ditto for Stephen Lighthill ASC their cinematography chair. Thanks a million.

I've always gotten the impression that anyone who attends the AFI program would already have to know what they're doing. No matter what level they're at, they'd better know it inside and out.
It's like, you're not going to school as a student, you're going to school more as a professional, like you're already a "filmmaker", they're just going to help you become a better filmmaker.
I feel that many of the film schools are the same way, in that they only nuture those who are capable of doing it on their own--dare I say--learning it on their own.
