For nearly 60 years, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards have honored excellence in media. It’s the honor that launches careers — the CINE Golden Eagle was the first industry recognition given to rising powerhouses Steven Spielberg (1969), Ken Burns (1981) and Pixar Animation (1987).

Now, we're championing the next generation of great media makers — YOU.

The 59th CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Student & Youth Media are open for submissions, with categories for episodic, narrative, animated and documentary projects from student and youth media makers.

The CINE Golden Eagle Awards are designed to provide emerging media makers with feedback and professional opportunities. EVERY filmmaker who submits receives notes from his or her film's review panels. A distinguished jury of notable filmmakers, producers and CINE alumni will select a Golden Eagle Award recipient and Finalists in each category — each of whom will be invited to CINE Celebrates receptions in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC this fall to network with filmmakers, composers, industry executives and fellow Golden Eagle Award-winners from the Professional and Independent Media cycles.

Complete information and entry forms are available at www.cine.org/student, FilmFreeway or Withoutabox.

Entries received by May 27 receive our lowest entry fees, and all submissions are due by July. Golden Eagle Award recipients and Finalists will be announced on September 7, 2016.

Discounts are available to schools or organizations that submit 10 or more productions on behalf of their students. Please email info@cine.org for a discount code.
