24p capture trouble

I shot on panasonic dvx100b in 24p mode. Capture into fcp with 23.98 fps with sequecence set the same. Plays back terrible with a strobe and delay image. tried capturing @ 24fps would not play back to camera or in canvas. Please help I'm desperate.

you need to set your project to the 3:2:2:3 pulldown removal. you also need to make sure that you are capturing your footage from your dvx.

Actually, to get real 24fps footage from the DVX100, you need to shoot in 24pAdvanced mode. Regular 24p is for the 24fps effect in a 60i Sequence. 24pA is for capturing so that FCP can do the pull-down removal on the fly upon capture. DVXuser.com and Ken Stone's FCP site both have wonderful tutorials on this for FCP and the DVX100.
