Alright, so I shot a movie recently using my SONY TRV-900 (3CCD) camera and I shot in 16:9 mode - REAL 16:9 mode that is...anamorphic video.

When I CAPTURE the video to my computer I usually click the check-box for 16:9 video. When I open the clips in the VIEWER I see it in a 4:3 (standard) frame with my 16:9 video inside of it (bars).

My question is, am I logging my anamorphic footage the BEST way? I would prefer to see the clip in it's anamorphically compressed (where the image is stretched such that it looks distorted) state and then export it with a 16:9 apect ratio (instead of 4:3 with bars).

Anyone know anything about this? Please talk me through it! Thanks for any help!
