We finally started getting into color grade layering for this one. Also, since Doctor Strange has some of the most versatile and complex vfx across the entire mcu we included a visual effects breakdown on this episode.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 8: Doctor Strange bargains with Dormaummu:
Trying a new format on this one. It's interesting to me how much the 3d backgrounds pop out more when you switch the scenes to Widescreen.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 7: Captain America vs iron man:
(Also, not sure if people are interested in the marketing aspect of the series, but...
Welcome. :) I'm always for subtitles in post rather than as a decision for the audience. That way, in case people don't turn on cc they still get the intended experience. But that's just me.
Yeah. Inception crossed my mind as well, but I don't think it had enough double personalities and characters with different motivations to meet all the criteria on the list. Almost all of the characters in Inception are moving towards the same goal.
Wow..😮 this was really well done. The cinematography is great, the sound design is superb and the music just makes it all blend together beautifully. And that shot at 1:50. Incredible.
Don't really have any criticisms. this was fantastic. (FYI don't forget to ask people to turn on subtitles as...
Never realized how much camera shake is actually in the sequence until it was time to edit it. It was fun adding it in and I think the camera shake added quite a bit of realism to the scene.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 6: Captain America meets Spider-Man:
Been wanting to do this one for quite a while.
Ended up replacing all of the practical water with CGI as it didn't look intense enough.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 5: Ant-Man tries on His Suit for the First Time:
If you head to Production crate they have some free Thanos dusting effects that you can use to drag + drop and blend them onto your footage.
I used a small portion of them in our trailer for example at 0:06 here:
Looper maybe? It's by Rian Johnson, the director of Knives out so it has quite the array of complex things happening at the same time. Hope that helps.
This one turned out really well. First time experimenting with Thor's hammer Mjolnir in Motion blur. Also, it was tricky to find out how to make Cap's motorbike sequence convincing.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 4: Assault on Hydra Base:
Both Actors actually filmed their scenes separate in this sequence and we linked them together in post.
Marvel Recreation Universe Episode 2: Thor the dark world Loki as Cap Scene Recreation:
The Season Premiere is here.
This was a fun one to film, we used real zip ties and the actors brought their own apparel.
Marvel Recreation Universe Iron man 3 Malibu Escape Scene Recreation:
Indeed!! We had actor scheduling and drop out conflicts.
Our original iron man actor left the Series after his first episode due to scheduling difficulties leaving me to take over the role of Tony Stark,
we replaced our new Thor actor at the last minute after we had a no show,
our Main Star...
Me and a group of Video Professionals and actors have created this fan series as something for Marvel fans to enjoy during the wait for Black Widow. And a show to entertain as this is the first year since 2009 not to have a Marvel movie release.
