If the antiflare multicoating is really damaged, may be it could do something, I don't know, but may be it can be not the lens itself but what is linked to it, matte box... Did you shoot inside or outside, with 85 on the lens on these shots ? I mean, is this flare bluish ?

You should try to find out what was the common parameter for all the shots that present this phenomenom. Is it all the way thru on a roll, only some takes ? By checking the reports, you can find out if it was always with the same magazine... Also you should talk to your kodak dealer as they...

Don't worry they accept the updates pretty well. The most difficult I found was to have new films in their database cause they ask for the budget, first public release... But for cast and crew, no problem. It only takes a few days (about a week to 10 days I think). The thing is they don't let...

"playing" with both reflection and backgroung can also be done with a polarizing filter, that may estinguish the reflections. One could imagine a reflection appear in the shot or disappear, why not ? When you meter the reflected face, you actually meter both reflectance at the same spot ...

The concept is not new... There used to be 16 mm then 9.5 then 8 then super 8 then Betamax, VHS, S-VHS, Hi 8, digital 8, now we're on dv, that's all! :D

16 mm reversal was mostly used for tv news reels and documentary before video came out inthe late 70s. Basically because you would gain time in processing (one process and you're done instead of 2 with a neg/pos chain) "Delicatessen" was bleach skipped for instance
